Shot List
Basic
Half ball gathering
To make a break in this game the objective is often to bring the balls together after the shot - a gathering shot. Here its easy to aim half ball but the skill is to play it as gently as possible bringing the red to the same position ready for the next shot.
Long corner gathering
Balancing the power to get the red back across the table and not hit the white too hard is key on this one.
Short angle draw
Again balance power to push red around the angles and just land on the yellow.
Long recovery
Frequently occuring position, pushing red around table to same side as the cue ball is the tricky part. Not played with full draw, take a tip off to allow harder hit with less motion on the white after impact.
Full ball
Often you could get a cannon with super fine cut but think about taking a full ball contact with top spin or natural roll to bring balls together.
Advanced
Masse
This section I would describe as the dark arts - raising the butt of the cue is the last resort in most games but in libre it is frequently used. Here we want to bend the cue ball around the yellow to just glance it and hit the red all at very low pace to keep the balls well nursed in the corner.
